I’m going to share the 6th Mindset straight from the book! This one is so good, it doesn’t need altering.

LivetoGiveLive to Give teaches us that abundance in one’s life is a cycle, and so to get love, respect, and financial security we must first learn to give those things. This mindset also teaches that the greatest gift we can ever give is to find and leverage our unique genius to maximize our positive impact on the world, knowing that good things will be returned to us in kind. Woooohoo — that’s powerful. Did you get it? I hope so.

You can start this process by doing some of these things. Like I mentioned, in earlier posts, you can get all the details of the 7Mindsets in the book. So go get yourself a copy.

Leave a Legacy

AttitudeGratitudeI’m grateful for BREATH! I’m grateful for POSSIBILITIES anew! I am grateful for what’s in my hand (what I have) right NOW! I’m grateful for POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS that help me expand and grow! I’m grateful for HEALTH and well being! I’m grateful for the day time and a night time to REST. Why would I choose any other attitude, than the one of Gratitude? You choose.

1. Treasure Yourself

2. Be More Grateful

3. Thank it Forward

4. Elevate Your Perspective ~ People who have achieved great lives point to moments of great adversity and challenge as the time when they learned a critical lesson or build the essential skill that allowed them to be successful. Know that, you can understand why it is important that you seek the positives from all situations, even the ones that seem completely negative. When you do this, you get better, learn, and grow in the essential ways that let you live a richer and fuller life. Come on people…..elevate your perspective!

I’m late getting this post out to you today because — this is a mindset that is really near and dear to my heart. I WROTE A BOOK ABOUT IT. I must admit that I have some AMAZING critical connections. They are working for me even when I don’t have a clue about it.

An interesting set of events happened today. I made a new connection — I hope that we will find the critical things that make our connection matter. And then I re-connected, a few hours later, with a critical connection I had made several years ago. The events that surrounded these two meetings really through me for a loop. It was if I were having one seamless conversation but with two different people at different times.

OK, enough with the riddles. I will keep it simple. The “We Are Connected” mindset encourages you to explore the synergies in all relationships and learn to empower one another.

1) Embrace Everyone 2) Maximize Positive Relationships 3) Build Your Drream Team and 4) Lead with Value.

We Are Connected

If someone else says to me that PASSION is overrated — I’m going to pop ’em a good one (I’m not advocating for violence here — just trying to make a point). It’s so interesting how you get so many perspectives on this topic. Clearly we don’t all have the same experiences, so our thoughts about being passionate about what we do and making a choice to LIVE our lives based on that is an individual preference. Here’s what some of the naysayers may say:

1. You’ve been trying to live your passions for a long time, don’t seem to have anything to show for it. — Good grief people.

2. Passion is overrated. — OK, so if it’s overrated then what is it?

3. You can’t EAT passion and passion DON’T pay the bills! — Can you be a bigger Dream Snatcher?

For my readers today: GET INTO a Sphere of Positivity. YOUR PASSION IS POWER!

I WOKE UP this morning with this burning question in my head. Is everything possible? You know at some point you’ve got to make a decision on whether you believe that, because if you don’t — YOU’RE STUCK in impossibilities. And Lord knows you don’t want to end up there.

Early morning business conversations through text started as my eyes opened — isn’t it interesting how we just roll towards the nightstand, grab our phones and start handling business as if there wasn’t a break between the night before when you ended your day with a text. How our lives have changed.

Anyway, let me continue….so many great creative thoughts and energy were circulating in the atmosphere this morning — I couldn’t stop dreaming of “BIG”! So though challenges met me this morning as well –they don’t stop coming folks, remember that– (below excepts from the book The 7Mindsets To Live Your Ultimate Life)

Everything Is Possible

1. Look internally before looking at external factors

2. Challenge your current thinking

3. Engage your imagination

4. Then put your imagination to work

5. Expect Success, Happiness and Meaning

6. Don’t worry about the HOW

7. Be wary of DREAM SNATCHERS — OOOH WEE this is a good one!

7mindsetsSeveral months ago I asked the Co-founder of the 7Mindsets, Scott Shickler, to speak to an audience at Kennesaw State University. Here’s what’s interesting, the event wasn’t as well attended as I had hoped. Disappointed, I decided to channel my energy in a different manner and change my mindset. What happened next was unexpected — I was introduced to 7Mindsets. Some of which, I unknowingly, had already been living — but the others I was acting counter to.

After the session, I approached Scott and shared how inspiring the message was for me and even for a group of 4 staff members — the message is still the same powerful message, even if it’s just for ONE.

The Magic Wand Foundation produces the power-packed summer summit, for teens, called the Ultimate Life Summit (ULS) and I’d been having a secret desire to attend since it began a few years back. More so because I wrote a book on Cultivating Critical Connections: A Guide for Creating Genuine Relationships and “We Are Connected” is one of the 7Mindsets (didn’t know that when I wrote my book). Feeling some serious synergy — I just walked up to Scott and said — I’m going to be at the next Ultimate Life Summit (ULS) this summer. His response to me was, “really, are you?” I said yup. Not even realizing how that was going to take place — but I was dreaming that nothing was impossible. Well what do you know, I participated this weekend as an educator in Ultimate Life University and I propose to you that it CHANGED MY LIFE.

OK I’m setting you up now. I could go on and on…but I’ll spare you and allow the 7Mindsets to speak to you personally. For the next 7 days take this journey of commitment and confirmation with me. Let’s see what happens.

This weekend, atncabs I relaxed in the mountains of Tennessee, I made several critical connections I wasn’t expecting to make. When you least expect it, relationships form, similar interests emerge and bang! – You’ve got yourself a critical connection. Now while most of the people on my trip to the mountains where of an older generation, I wondered if millennials could grasp the concept of hard core in your face relational contact while sequestered for an entire weekend. Funny thing is that all of us “older generation” folks were just vying to get on our smart phones, internet, tweet, Facebook, etc. – it was really funny and exciting to watch. Needless to say, I don’t believe that my friends knew I was scoping them out…because it wasn’t my intention. Though there is clearly gaps between the generations when it comes to building relationships and making critical connections and using technology to stay in touch, it’s a beautiful thing to appreciate that we’re not that different.
